We face an ongoing challenge concerning our Silt Pond that no doubt we will approach in a positive manner. Many of you are aware of the fact that our Silt Pond needs dredging, as has been done periodically over the years, to enhance the quality and health of our 9 acre Lake. This has been discussed in various forums (the last Newsletter and at our last annual members meeting). Quite simply it will take considerably more money to pay for such work than previously paid or projected. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Your Board has worked hard, and will continue to do so, to facilitate the dredging process to ensure the long term health of our lake.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
HERE IS WHAT WE ARE ASKING OF YOU: Pay your 2024 dues of $70 per developed lot and $14 per undeveloped lot. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
–Additionally pay the “special assessment” of $300 per Household to fund our Dredging program. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Your Board currently is forecasting a special assessment of $300 for two years to fund the program. NOTE that the dredging process, “when completed”, is estimated to last 6 plus years so the special assessment is not an ongoing yearly fee. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
PLEASE NOTE that the Board recognizes that some neighbors may not be able to pay the special assessment of $300. We would ask that you pay “what you can” so everyone is participating in the process. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
